Pink pads gently pressed into the blanket of soot covering the forest floor leaving impressions of each paw for only a moment before the dust hid her trail. Her pelt was still thick and plush from the unusually cold winter that had just begun to pass, the sun goddess pushing the bitter cold away until at least the next catastrophe. Who would think that fire could conger ice? They were opposites yet so similar, so often going hand in hand with one another. Opposites attract do they not?
The forest seemed nearly untouched by the atmospheric events of late, the trees still stood tall and were dressed in green lace. Small sparks of color flashed in random areas here and there promising to produce a flowered backdrop once more. The alabaster wolfess silently danced along the water's edge appreciating the song of the forest. In the distance birds were singing their tunes, announcing that they had survived as well. Any creatures left standing after the eruption had at least that connecting their souls...survival. They had managed to out smart fire itself only to be followed by the battle of ice. Here they were still standing strong and making a come back. A small smile tightened pale lips at the thought of it all, icy orbs resting upon a black and red bird sitting on a nearby branch.
Here she decided to pause her journey to no where, lowering her weight back upon narrow haunches. A full plume curled around her body and draped over a pair of front paws. Slightly rounded receptors stood upright while her gaze shifted onto the running stream. Peace seemed to find it's rightful place within Caela's heart once more as she sat alone in silence.

The ash made the footfalls even that much more quiet, seemingly creating no sound at all. Some of the grey substance clung to his fur, giving his pelt a dull appearance on his legs and feet, turning black to grey. His posture suggested it was stalking something intently, however, this was only his normal pose. He subconsciously tried to hide himself from the world. The dark wings that emerged from his pelt were tightly clinging to his body, trying to enter it and be hidden forever. Blank orbs stared at nothing although the fact that he was winding his way through the tree line with no problems suggested that his vision was in fact not gone.
He was going nowhere. This land was a place he wanted to remember, but forced himself to forget. Although he knew exactly where he was in terms of the islands geography - remembering it from his past life - he chose to pretend, to fool himself to having no clue.
When he caught the scent, however, his demeanor changed drastically. Auds lifted from the top of his head, neck shot upwards, eyes scanned the scenery around him and the dark appendages lifted slightly from his body from the shock of it. Everything was forced to come back, the scent was far too familiar. Erebos took it in for a moment, allowing his heart rate to decrease before everything reverted back to the sucked in state. He couldn't ignore the possibility of it, however. So, slowly, the brute began to wind his way through the thick canopy of trees - heading straight for the sound of the stream and the smell of a particular fae.
He made sure he was quiet. He wanted to see her before she saw him. Luckily for the dark brute, he was coming at her from behind. Behind the thick cataract covered orbs, pale pupils shifted from side to side, planning out his next move. It had been so long... she probably wouldn't even recognize him thanks to the disabilities he had acquired. Throwing caution to the wind, he sucked in a breath and blew it out as he made the final steps in her direction.
Head low, ears back, wings pressed into his sides harshly - His voice was gruff, desire dancing on the tail of it. "Hello Caela."
